OYSTER Funds, a constantly evolving fund range

Created in 1996 by Banque SYZ, the Luxembourg-based OYSTER fund range underwent a profound stage in its evolution a year ago.

In May 2020 iM Global Partner took over the range and restructured around 70% of the OYSTER range by using our fund manager selection expertise to refine and grow it.
Outstanding managers from around the world were selected to build a higher performing range.

To position the range for future growth, we carried out a highly efficient restructuring process in just 2 months. The rewards have certainly been worth it and now we are seeing positive momentum.

OYSTER's glory days

The name OYSTER was a reference to the famous Swiss watches featuring perpetual movement. At its inception, the fund range was designed to be a long-lasting investment with only the best managers cherry-picked to invest the funds.

At first, external fund managers were chosen, but as the range grew in popularity top-performing stock and bond pickers were hired to manage the funds in-house.

For many years this worked very well with the fund range becoming well-known across continental Europe and synonymous with quality and strong performance.

However, as with many things, in time the range started to lose its luster and was in need of some revitalization. This was when iM Global Partner stepped in to return the range to its glory days.

After the acquisition of OYSTER, we retained the best mandates that were already in place, and quickly reallocated management mandates to managers that we considered to be more efficient.

The future for OYSTER

iM Global Partner has big plans for this range. By 2023 we plan to add 4-6 new high performing fund managers to offer clients and even broader range of quality investments.
