iM Global Partner (iMGP) and Zadig Asset Management have announced that Régis Bégué has joined the firm in April as Partner.
Laurent Saglio, Founding Partner at Zadig Asset Management, said “Following a sabbatical in July 2023, I have decided not to return to Zadig to run the Memnon European Fund. Instead, Régis Bégué is joining to run the Fund and other European equity mandates with Vincent Steenman, and to run the business with Pierre Philippon, with whom I started Zadig Asset Management. I have known Régis for 26 years and am confident that his track record and complementary personality to Vincent will certainly contribute to performance going forward. Both Régis and Vincent have it embedded in them that risk-adjusted return is the omega of long-term performance.”
Régis has a degree in Applied Mathematics from Université Paris Cité and a Masters degree from HEC. Previously a Managing Partner at Lazard Frères Gestion, which he joined in 2005, Régis took over the full responsibility for the European Equity Asset Management business in 2008. In the last 16 years, Régis was able to build a strong franchise in European equities thanks to the team he built up and the performance generated. Prior to Lazard Frères Gestion, Régis held positions at Nomura and Oddo Securities.
If he looks familiar it’s because he is a man of all seasons with artistic talent in writing, music and theatre. As well as an early foray into film as a teenager, he has also written numerous novels and even won literary competitions.1
